Black Women Photographers is an international group with the mission to provide education and resources to Black women, non-binary, trans, and femme photographers.

Wanting to start a subgroup closer to us with us having to choose between Toronto and Harlem, 3 Black women Photographers--myself, Cocoa Rae David, and Erica Jae--created a Rochester group to network and build a community of Black women and non-binary photographers in Upstate NY.

A year into this group meeting, we held our first model shoot connecting photographers and models together to create images with the following themes: Garden Goddess, Femme Fatale, Ballroom, and Decades Aesthetics.
